WHISPERING OAKS HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION April 18, 2009 Minutes Present: Dave Anderson, Bette MacDowell, Bob Parker, Walt Walton, Andy
Birchal, John Ragosta First order of business was the appointment of John Ragosta to the WOHA Board of Directors for as long as Pat Moyer is on leave.Dave Andersonl made the motion to appoint John Ragosta and motion was seconded. Board voted approval. Dave Anderson assigned oversight of the Architectural Review Committee to Andy Birchall. Andy will ask Marty Zydell if he wants to continue as Chairman. If not the Board will need to recruit and appoint a new Chairman. Walt Walton was asked to provide oversight to the Landscape Committee primarily to control costs. The Landscape committee is doing an excellent job but costs are rising. Walt will also meet with Dave and the WOHA CPA to discuss 2008 tax liabilities. Accountant, Mr. Eberling, will also be approached about assuming some of the functions currently handled by the WOHA treasurer. Dave Anderson brought up the mildew appearance of the gates. Bob Parker volunteered to clean the gates along with help from others. John Ragosta was asked to speak with Jerry and Sue Colvin about modifying their landscape border on the corner of Madrid and Spanish Oak Ct. in order to restore drainage in that area that was blocked by their brick border. Walt Walton met with police about damage to perimetr fence on Ewing St. Police suggested we post No Trespasing and NO Standing/Parking signs. They instructed us to take pictures of the posted signs. Police could then take action when necessary based on WOHA completing some forms and proiding the pictures. Walt has started the process. Walt brought up the need for more perimeter fencing on Whispering Oaks Circle and on A1A from the gate heading South. We the completion of the walkway across the street we expect more tresspassing possibilities. Waly also suggested modifications to back gate to make it more difficult to walk around gate by the Price property. Dave Anderson will get the remotes for entry from Pat Moyer and locate all outstanding party keys. Dave also suggested putting an out of order sign for front gate tht also instructs drivers to use Madrid Street entrance. This is necessary when storms or other incidents disable the front gate. Motion to sign maintenance contract for gate including $200 per year for maintenance and updating of entry database remotely by Hardwick.
