JULY 5, 2010
The Board of Directors of the Whispering Oaks Homeowners'
Association met at the Watson Realty Building at 3175 A1A South, St. Augustine
Beach at 7 pm on Monday, July 5, 2010. The following Board members were
present: Bobby Crum, Bette Mac Dowell and Bob Parker via conference call.
Members absent: Andrew Birchall, John Ragosta and Walt Walton.
The meeting was called to order by Bobby Crum, President, at 7 pm.
This was a short and informal meeting due to the holiday which affected attendance.
There was discussion regarding the renewal of the annual contract with The Lawn Ranger for our community's lawn maintenance. The new contract remains unchanged with a monthly cost of $700. Bobby Crum made a motion to renew the contract with Lawn Ranger and Bob Parker seconded. The motion was unanimously approved.
Bobby Crum volunteered to get quotes for the cleaning of the clogged drainage pipe on Whispering Oaks Circle which is between the Kenyons' and Keifer's properties.
Bob Parker reported that the road resurfacing quote he received recently was very reasonable. This project will be reviewed at a future Board meeting.
A letter from member, Pat Moyer, voicing her concerns regarding the building project at the lot next to her home was read by Bobby Crum.
There was discussion of the Red Bay Tree Disease that has destroyed a few trees in our neighborhood.
Bobby Crum also requested that Board members submit articles for the Summer Newsletter as soon as possible.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:45 pm.
