WHISPERING OAKS HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION
May 27, 2008 - BOARD MEETING
The Board of Directors of the Whispering Oaks Homeowners' Association
met at the St. Augustine Beach Library at 6:30 pm on May 27, 2008. The
following Board members were present: Bob Parker, Nick Binder, Pat Moyer
and Bette Mac Dowell.
The meeting was called to order by Bob Parker at 6:45 pm.
Bob said that work is still pending completion by Electrical Logic, Inc. on the lights at the Beach Blvd. entrance. They will also be replacing a faulty photo cell on the light at the Madrid Street entrance. It was suggested that a damaged electrical outlet at the Beach Blvd. entrance be capped to prevent any electrical problems in the future. An additional light on Big Magnolia Court may be added. Bob said that the lamp post on the corner of Whispering Oaks Circle is not broken but only in need of a bulb which will be replaced this week.
The installation of a fence at the southside of the Beach Blvd. entrance to curb strangers riding scooters and bicycles from entering the neighborhood was discussed. Director, Walt Walton, will be requested to obtain designs and prices for this possible addition to that area.
Nick Bender mentioned that he has obtained old WOHA plans, files, mailbox keys, etc. from the previous Board. These will be maintained by Dave Anderson, President.
All members agreed that the pending electrical projects need to be completed. Nick Binder suggested that the surveillance cameras and equipment be secured to avoid vandalism as soon as possible. Walt Walton will be asked to research this project.
The meeting adjourned at 8:15 pm.
