WHISPERING OAKS HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION
October 27,2009 Minutes
PRESENT: Anderson, MacDowell, Moyer, Parker
ABSENT: Birchall, Walton
Former Treasurer Pat Moyer's proposed calendar-year 2010 budget was amended to exclude reference to the outside management option. Bette MacDowell moved to approve the budget as amended. Seconded by Bob Parker. Passed 4-0. Annual dues will be assessed at $675 per lot, an increase of $95 over the dues paid by owners in 2008 and 2009. Deadline for payment is January 31, 2010.
Anderson said nomination forms will be distributed by U.S. mail to all WOHA members before November 1. Deadline for receipt of nominations is November 30. Ballot-return deadline is December 31.
The Board discussed alternative methods of restoring electrical, lighting and surveillance functions disrupted 20 days ago by vandals at the oceanside gate. Walt Walton and Bob Parker are still waiting for written proposals from an electrical contractor and a security vendor. The exact nature of the damage to the electrical circuits remains to be determined. It may be largely confined to photoelectric cells. In any event, cameras, light fixtures, posts and a downsized keypad will be installed to replace those broken or stolen.
Next meeting is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, November 14, at the Anastasia Island Branch Library.
