Thanks to all for the large number of votes cast at our special meeting last Saturday, June 22. There were 45 votes cast which included 19 by proxy and 26 in attendance representing 71% of our total 63 membership. Everyone supported changing the Declaration to equal lot assessments and for the installation of a gate on the A1A Beach Blvd entrance. 38 votes were cast for the quality gate and 7 for a barrier gate.
Now we need to collect the $185 special assessment ASAP so that the gate can be installed at the earliest date. The due date for the special assessment is July 22. Please send your payment to our treasurer, Al Kenyon, at 145 Whispering Oaks Circle, St. Augustine Beach, FL 32080.
The Board will prepare two budget scenarios for 2003: one
with the installation of a quality gate at the Madrid entrance and one with the
installation of a barrier gate. These
two options will be put to a vote at our next annual general meeting in January.
In addition, at the general meeting we will be voting for two members to
the Board of Directors. If you are
interested in being a Board member, please contact me.
